Created in collaboration with my peers for the Boone Bound Book Fair, Sonder delves into the hidden gem of the Appalachian State Nature Preserve. Nestled amidst the heart of campus, this scarcely known 67-acre sanctuary stands as a testament to education, recreation, and conservation.
Inspired by our collective experience during a class visit to the site, we embarked on a mission to capture the essence of this remarkable place. As we immersed ourselves in its natural beauty, we found ourselves contemplating the thoughts and feelings of the diverse organisms that call the preserve home. Through our book, we aim to share the interconnectedness we discovered within this vibrant ecosystem, inviting others to join us in celebrating its splendor and significance.
